Dr. med. dent. Mariya Bencheva graduated as a dentist in 2011 at the University of Bonn, Germany with the highest final grade. From 2012 to 2014 Dr. Bencheva worked as a dentist in a well-known private dental practice in the center of Bonn, where she gained

a lot of practical experience in all fields of the modern, advanced dentistry, especially in the field of the conservative dentistry, including rehabilitations with full ceramic restorations and Endodontology.

In search for further qualification at a highest academic level, career development and continuing education and specialisation in the field of Dental Prosthetics from 2014 to 2018 Dr. Bencheva worked as a scientific clinical assistant at the Department

of Prosthodontics, Propaedeutics and Material Sciences of the University of Bonn. Beside the holding of lectures in the fields of Dental Prosthetics and the supervision of the clinical student courses and the state examinations, Dr. Bencheva´s occupation at the clinic included the prosthodontic rehabilitation of complex patient cases with fixed or removable prosthetics often in combination with implants. Another area of her responsibilities was also the diagnosis and therapy of patients with craniomandibular dysfunction (TMD) as a part of our TMD-Consultation hour. In 2015 Dr. Bencheva finished successfully her scientific research doctorate and received the doctoral degree “Dr. med. dent”. In 2016 she qualified for the use and diagnostic of the DVT-Technic (Digital Volume tomography), known as a CBCT or  3D X-Ray.

 

In 2019 she accomplished the prestigious postgraduate education in the field of Dental Prosthodontics of the German Association for Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials (DGPro) and received the accreditation for a "Qualified Specialist in Prosthetics with Further Education of DGPro". In 2019 Dr. Mariya Bencheva joined our team at ProDent Clinic Sofia and became the first "Specialist in Prosthetics of the DGPro" in Bulgaria.

Dr. Mariya Bencheva is an active member of the German Association for Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials (DGPro), the German Association for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK) and the Bulgarian Dental Association (BZS). She has participated in many international congresses and courses in the fields of Dental Prosthetics, Endodontology and TMD-Therapy.
